Regional Sales Manager

Frost Control Systems (FCS) is seeking (4) Regional Sales Managers to support our award winning and rapidly growing business.  We are a South Bend, Indiana based startup that manufactures, installs and maintains Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) Sensors.  The positions are remote based, and the candidate must live within the region they work.  The regions in which we are looking for talent:

 

  • (1) Northeast

    • Preferably based in the greater New Jersey/NYC/Connecticut or Boston area

  • (1) Atlantic 

    • Preferably based in the Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore area

  • (1) Great Lakes 

    • Preferably based in South Bend, IN | Will consider candidates based in Ohio and Michigan

  • (1) Upper Midwest

    • Preferably based in Chicago, Milwaukee or Minneapolis\St. Paul area

 

You’ll be responsible for managing existing customer relationships and developing new business.   In doing so, you will have the chance to sell a service for a startup that will grow 5x-10x per-year, for the next several years.  Our very aggressive commission structure will reward you for delivering this growth.  We pay handsomely for new business and you’ll earn renewal commission as you maintain our contracts. 

 

More, as your book of business grows and Frost Control Systems develops adjacent market opportunities, you may have the opportunity to lead a team of salespeople.  In this, we are looking for thoughtful, empathetic leaders who will aggressively execute on 2020 goals and be ready to take on more when the opportunity presents itself

We are looking for candidates to apply now with a start date in January 2020.  We’ll have a robust on-boarding process that will include a week at our HQ in South Bend, IN.  4-5 weeks later, we’ll bring you back to HQ and have a debrief and do additional on-boarding.

Mechanical Engineer

Frost Control Systems (FCS) is looking to hire one Mechanical Engineer to aid in production and development of our RWIS devices.  We are a South Bend, Indiana based startup that manufactures, installs and maintains Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) Sensors. 

Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.

  • Designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.

  • Designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by generating CAD models and Drawings according to specifications and requirements.

  • Assures product quality and capabilities by designing testing methods, testing products, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.

  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

  • Present engineering designs and plans to managements at design reviews.

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or Master’s) from an accredited university

  • Experience in CAD (required)

  • Experience in designing for injection molding (required)

  • 2-5 years of experience working post-graduation (preferred)

  • Experience with optical sensors (preferred)

  • Experience in Matlab/LabView programs (Bonus)

  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Bonus)

Embedded Software Engineer ll

Frost Control Systems (FCS) is looking to hire one Embedded Software Engineer to aid in production and development of our RWIS devices.  We are a South Bend, Indiana based startup that manufactures, installs and maintains Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) Sensors. 

Embedded Software Engineer Required Skills:

  • Coding skills in C, C++, C#, Python 3, MicroPython, JAVA, JAVA Script, HTML, SQL

  • Experience in Computer Science fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

  • Experience in developing firmware logic for microcontrollers.

  • Experience in designing and developing windows forms applications, android applications, web-based applications and IOT application deployment.

  • Experience interfacing with and collaborating on Cloud services such as JSON, REST, MQTT, etc.

  • Experience with RTOS and embedded Linux development.

  • Knowledge of micro-controller architectures, GPIO/I2C/SPI and peripheral interfacing

  • Experience with Agile workflow/project management tools.

Quality Manager

Frost Control Systems (FCS) is looking to hire one Quality Manager to aid in production and development of our RWIS devices.  We are a South Bend, Indiana based startup that manufactures, installs and maintains Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) Sensors. 

Quality Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises non-supervisory employees in the Quality Department.

  • Build/Develop FCS Quality Management System

  • Manages all activities related to the Quality Management Systems. Leads in the creation of documents needed to support this system after built.

  • Plans, organizes and manages the work of subordinate staff to ensure continuous control over materials and products and maintaining that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.

  • Coordinates the development and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.

  • Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and informs what actions have been taken to improve the situation

    • Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team

  • Leads resolution of Quality issues and develops relationships with our customer and supplier networks.

  • Maintains Corrective Action System to track customer and manufacturing production plant quality related issues.

  • Measurement Systems Development, Analysis and Improvement.

  • Coordinates / Manages Non-Conforming Material.

  • Coordinates / Manages rework of non-conforming Units.

  • Coordinates / Manages end of line testing.

  • Coordinates / Manages end of line calibration.

  • Coordinates / Manages final packaging.

  • Coordinates / Manages component and completed unit inventory.

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
